The Esher Business Guild is proud to announce the second Esher Music Festival (better known as the EMF 2011) to be held 22nd to 25th June, 2011.

With access to over 100 bands and 30 DJs all willing to bring live music to Esher, we are hoping to place them in all the units and shop fronts on the High Street for most, if not all, of the nights of the Festival. The monies raised will go towards approaching the Elmbridge Council with a request for matching funds for the improvements to the hard landscaping on Esher High Street.

Choir concerts will be held in Christ Church along with other venues. There will music master classes, youth concerts and a great, 30 piece swing band as well at the Church. St. George's Church will also be supporting the Esher Music Festival. The Albert and George have already agreed to four nights of karaoke type evenings, along with singular artists. There will be jazz singers, blues musicians, a Barbershop Quartet, and good old rock 'n roll. Watch this space on the following pages for the details as we confirm both the artists and the venues.

The purpose is two-fold. One is to make Esher a more visible and exciting place to be, frequent the restaurants, do some shopping and enjoy the history of the town. The second is to make music while making money for the civic improvements which are planned for Esher. In the coming weeks, you will be able read about the artists we have booked for the different venues. All the information will be available on this site as we confirm it.
